Trump to deal with TikTok
Donald Trump, President of the U.S., said on Friday that US is going to talk with China within the coming Tuesday about a deal with TikTok. He also added that the U.S already has a basic agreement for selling TikTok.
According to Trump, Last month the US gave ByteDance, the owner of the Chinese app TikTok, till September 17 to sell the App to a U.S. This is the plan to run the popular video-sharing platform, TikTok, by a U.S.-based company. This agreement was in progress earlier this year, but it was delayed after China pulled it back due to new tariffs on Chinese goods by Trump.
He also said that Final approval is still in favor of China to complete this deal, and he also has a good relationship with China’s President Xi and believes the deal would benefit both countries. Trump also added, “I’m not confident, but I think so.”
