Finally, the wait is over, Yes! You heard right: Samsung has officially confirmed that they are going to come with its flagship processor, the Exynos 2500, on July 9, 2025. Lastly, Exynos 2500 was to be introduced with the Galaxy S25 series, but it won’t happen; instead, we can see Exynos 2500 on the Galaxy Z Flip7 soon. So now let’s drive to the overview and features of the new flagship processor.

Exynos 2500 overview

Exynos 2500 is Samsung’s first 3nm smartphone chipset with comes with powerful Xclipse 950 GPU made using AMD’s RDNA 3 architecture which is inhouse made chip by Samsung. It also supports hardware-accelerated raytracing and it also supports LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The built-in ISP supports up to 320MP camera sensors and 8K 30fps video recording.

CPU and Performance

Samsung has officially confirmed that Exynos 2500 is around 15% more powerful than its previous version 2400.

Its structure is marketed as 1+2+5+2 which includes:

• 1x Cortex-X925 at 3.3GHz
• 2x Cortex-A725 at 2.74GHz
• 5x Cortex-A725 at 2.36GHz
• 2x Cortex-A520 at 1.8GHz

Other Specs

GPU

As we already discussed about GPU before so this chip includes the new Xclipse 950 GPU based on AMD’s 4th-gen RDNA 3. It comes with 8 Work Group Processors (up from 6) and 8 Render Backends (up from 4). As per Samsung, It claims 28% better frame rates while playing game.

AI and NPU

To powerup AI Performance, Exynos 2500 comes with NPU, which comes with 24K MACs in a 2x 12K cluster layout and it is 39% boost over the last-gen chip. It also uses Fan-Out Wafer-Level Packaging (FOWLP), which helps with thermal control and keeps the chip thinner.

Camera and Video

Exynos 2500 supports camera sensors up to 320MP and can shoot 8K at 60 fps with AV1 decoding supported. It also supports AI-powered image processing and multi-layer noise reduction.

Exynos 2500 launch and Availability

The chip will first appear in the Galaxy Z Flip7, launching on July 9, 2025. The base variant is expected to start from NPR 139,000 in Nepal.
